The Phoenix Suns came out of the gates on fire in Game 6 against the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers with Devin Booker leading the charge, and social media took notice.

Booker dropped 33 points in the first half as the Suns entered the locker room up by 21. They would cling to their double-digit lead from there to win 113-100.

He put up 14 more in the second half for 47 total and finished 18-of-22 from the field with eight 3-pointers made.

Booker’s point total scored against the Lakers ranks third in playoff history, trailing only Sleepy Floyd (51) and Allen Iverson (48).

J.J. Watt and Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals, who were at the Game 5 victory in Phoenix, were just a few to weigh in Booker’s hot start.

It wasn’t just Arizona gridiron stars giving Booker praise.

Star NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson were tuned in to the Suns’ Game 6 victory.

Draymond Green, along with other NBA players, also chimed in.

A handful of players who got to know a younger Booker well in stints with the Suns over past years had seen this type of thing before. Tyson Chandler, T.J. Warren and Jamal Crawford were in awe.

Even current Laker veteran Jared Dudley went to Twitter after the game to congratulate Booker.
