It was an interesting Wednesday morning for the NBA, to say the least.

Everywhere you looked, there seemed to be more not-so-good breaking news.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania got the ball rolling when he reported, at 5:38 a.m., that Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul was in the NBA’s health and safety protocols and out indefinitely.

ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne and Brian Windhorst followed that up a half-hour later with more bad news, that Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is out for Game 5 against the Utah Jazz with a right knee injury. Charania later said it is feared that Leonard suffered an ACL injury.

About two hours later, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported at 7:55 a.m. that the New Orleans Pelicans fired head coach Stan Van Gundy after one season. Just 30 minutes later, Wojarnowski dropped another bomb, that Washington Wizards and head coach Scott Brooks agreed to part ways.

Charania added the cherry on top when he reported at 10:57 a.m. that the Dallas Mavericks and general manager Donnie Nelson decided to end their partnership after 23 years together.

All of that before lunch.

The Twitter world reacted just as one might expect.
