The news of the day may just be the news that underscores the Suns’ summer in 2015: LaMarcus Aldridge spurns Phoenix in favor of San Antonio. Though many may have predicted Aldridge’s decision to join the Spurs as a likely outcome, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sting any less that the Suns have fallen short in their bid to lock up perhaps the most coveted free agent of the offseason.
Below we take a look at some of the reaction on Twitter following Aldridge’s choice to skip the Valley and head for more familiar pastures in Texas.
I'm happy to say I'm going home to Texas and will be a Spur!! I'm excited to join the team and be close to my family and friends.

Now Tim Duncan will have to sacrifice 75% of salary he still deserves so Spurs can give LaMarcus max, keep team intact. Listening, Kobe?

Suns, by all accounts, made a really strong impression on LMA and gave themselves a real shot. Tough blow for them.

Honestly there is nothing in free agency the Suns can do now to make them a playoff team so go with what you have and develop young guys

Sad about @aldridge_12 decision, but sends a signal @Suns moving in right direction in regards to being on free agents radar @SiriusXMNBA
