The Phoenix Suns are headed to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993.

It’s been almost three decades since the Valley’s oldest professional sports franchise reached basketball’s greatest stage.

And within the 28-year drought for Phoenix in the NBA Finals, new generations of Suns fans have since been born and are experiencing a Western Conference title for the first time in their lives.

Whether it’s the third championship appearance is a charm or the first time witnessing Phoenix in the NBA Finals — like this writer and Valley native — there’s no questioning that the Valley has truly rallied behind this Suns team.

On Thursday, Arizona Sports’ Bickley & Marotta posed the question: What were Suns fans doing the last time Phoenix made the NBA Finals in 1993?
