The Phoenix Suns announced that senior vice president of basketball operations Jeff Bower is moving on from the organization, according a team press release on Saturday.

Bower was added to the Suns’ front office in 2019, two years after reigning Executive of the Year James Jones was brought on board, and has been part of the revival for Phoenix.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the organization,” Bower said. “We are proud of the progress and accomplishments achieved on the court over the past two seasons. I look forward to other opportunities and projects that are in the future.”

The list of names that Jones and Bower added together is one that is quite recognizable for Suns fans:

2019-2020 additions:
The draft rights to Cameron Johnson and three-year forward Dario Saric were acquired by the Phoenix Suns from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Jarrett Culver.

Ricky Rubio was signed to a multi-year deal.

Traded away Josh Jackson, De’Anthony Melton and a conditional 2021 second-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for Jevon Carter.

Kelly Oubre Jr. signed a multi-year contract.

Frank Kaminsky signed a multi-year contract.

Cam Payne signed before the Orlando bubble.

2020-2021 additions:
Abdel Nader, Chris Paul and a TPE (traded player exception) were acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for: Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio and a conditional 2022 first-round pick.

Cameron Payne’s team option was exercised for another year.

Jae Crowder signed a multi-year contract.

E’twaun Moore signed a one-year contract.

Langston Galloway signed a one-year contract.

Torrey Craig was acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for cash and a TPE.

The Suns were 19-63 during the 2018-19 season, a year before Bower arrived to Phoenix. Yet two seasons later, the Suns were 51-21 and reached the NBA Finals before falling to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.
