The 2021 college football season is quickly approaching.

With Tuesday marking Pac-12 Media Day, the annual North and South division standings predictions were released.

The pundits have the Arizona State Sun Devils finishing third in the Pac-12 South this season, with the Arizona Wildcats coming in sixth under new head coach Jedd Fisch.

ASU did receive six first-place votes — tied with Utah for the second-most in the division — for a total of 170 points.

Arizona only garnered 41 points from voting media.

The poll has USC taking the Pac-12 South with 27 first-place votes and a total of 223 points, with Utah in second (183 points), UCLA in fourth (135 points) and Colorado in fifth (88 points).

UCLA also received one first-place vote.

Things weren’t quite as competitive in the Pac-12 North, as Oregon took the cake with 38 first-place votes for a total of 238 points.

Washington was the only other team in the division to receive first-place votes with two, as the Huskies were voted to finish in second place with a total of 189 points.

California (140), Stanford (137), Oregon State (71) and Washington State (65) rounded out the rest of the division.

The Pac-12 Championship Game — which is scheduled for Dec. 3 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — is predicted to be a matchup between Oregon and either USC or Utah.

The Ducks received 27 conference-winning votes, while the Trojans picked up 10 and the Utes garnered three.

Arizona State kicks off its season on Sept. 2 at Sun Devil Stadium against Southern Utah, while Arizona begins the Fisch era at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas against BYU on Sept. 4.
