Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul is helping underrepresented businesses and entrepreneurs through his partnership with Gopuff.

Paul is an investor in Gopuff, a service that delivers a variety of goods.

The partnership consists of starting a small business accelerator called Put Me On. It is targeted toward giving underrepresented entrepreneurs resources to help grow their businesses. Participants take part in monthly workshops throughout the six-month experience, according to a news release.

After the program ends, businesses will receive an invitation to join the Put Me On Network. Once businesses are in the network, they will have access to every workshop as well as mentors.

Eight businesses, ranging from a toys and games company specializing in card games to a company offering all-natural vegan care projects, were selected to take part in first group.

Paul will serve as an ambassador, helping participants throughout their time in the program. He also helped choose the first cohort of participating businesses.

“I’ve always had a strong passion for supporting entrepreneurs and bringing healthier foods and products to underserved communities,” Paul said in a news release. “Sharing in this mission and collaborating with Gopuff takes this work to the next level.”

Yakir Gola, one of the co-founders and co-CEOs of Gopuff, said in a news release that he is excited for the partnership.

“Chris Paul has dedicated his time on and off the court to support entrepreneurs and we are excited to work with him to help aspiring entrepreneurs grow their businesses and reach new customers,” Gola said.

Paul previously partnered with Gopuff in February, when he helped to make plant-based products more prevalent and accessible. As part of that partnership, a selection of plant-based food and drink options was provided to visiting NBA teams in Phoenix this past season.
