The Phoenix Suns will be missing some depth in Sunday’s home matchup with the Denver Nuggets.

Center Frank Kaminsky will miss his third straight game with right knee soreness. Defensive-minded wing Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) is also ruled out.

The Nuggets have perhaps more pressing injury concerns for Sunday.

Reigning MVP center Nikola Jokic is questionable as he deals with a right wrist sprain. He missed Denver’s last game, a six-point loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Jokic has been his dominant self this season for the 9-7 Nuggets. He averages 26.4 points per game, same as last year, with a career-best 13.6 rebounds.

Nuggets forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Zeke Nnaji have been ruled out. Sunday will be Porter’s eighth straight game missed with lower back pain.

Nnaji, who played college ball at Arizona, is set to sit out for the fourth consecutive game with a right ankle sprain.

The Nuggets defeated the Suns 110-108 in each team’s season opener on Oct. 20. Jokic scored 27 points while Porter added 15 that night.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Footprint Center Sunday evening. You can tune in at ESPN 620 AM / 98.7 FM HD-2.
