The Pac-12 conference imposed punishments to Arizona State basketball for misconduct toward officials at the end of Saturday’s game against Stanford, conference commissioner George Kliavkoff announced Sunday night.

Head coach Bobby Hurley has been suspended for Monday’s matchup with USC and fined $20,000 for his role in Saturday’s confrontation.

Proceeds from the fine will benefit the Pac-12 student-athlete scholarship fund, according to a press release.

Guard Jay Heath and center Jalen Graham were publicly reprimanded for confronting an official as they attempted to exit the court.

Heath was also suspended for Monday’s game for making contact with an official.

“The actions of the head coach and student-athletes were in clear violation of the Conference’s standards of conduct, and will not be tolerated,” Kliavkoff said in the release.

“The Pac-12 and its membership has established regulations requiring all institutional personnel, especially head coaches, to conduct themselves in a sporting manner, and those involved in this situation failed to meet those standards.”

The Sun Devils were clearly frustrated after falling 79-76 in a game where Stanford shot 41 free throws to ASU’s nine.

Hurley was called for a technical foul during the game as well.

ASU’s meeting with USC in Los Angeles will begin at 9 p.m. and air on ESPN 620 AM / 98.7 FM HD-2.
