The Phoenix Suns and point guard Chris Paul will see an awfully familiar face as the head official for Game 2 of the team’s first-round playoff matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.

Official Scott Foster, who has a history with Paul, will be the chief for the second game of the series in Phoenix.

Joining Foster for Game 2’s crew is Tony Brothers and Pat Fraher.

In the last 13 playoffs games of Paul’s career where Foster has been an official, his team’s have not done well, having a 1-12 record in those games with Foster in the stripes.

Dating back to 2013, Paul’s teams had an 11-game losing streak in the playoffs with Foster present.

The Suns snapped the streak for Paul in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals last year against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Point God himself was absent from the game.

The Suns did lose three games last postseason with Foster on the officiating crew, dropping a first round game against the Los Angeles Lakers and then losing two games (Games 3 and 6) to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals.

Tip off for Game 2 is at 7 p.m. from Footprint Center. Catch all the action on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
