The Phoenix Suns exited the 2022 NBA playoffs in lackluster fashion on Sunday night, dropping Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinals matchup to the Dallas Mavericks by 33 points.

It was an especially rough showing for guard Devin Booker.

In the first Game 7 of his career, the guard scored 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting (0-of-4 from deep) to go along with three rebounds, two assists and a steal. He turned the ball over four times and posted the worst plus-minus of the evening at minus-41.

It wasn’t just Booker, however, as the Suns as a whole looked out of sorts for the majority of the night.

So naturally, national media members like Stephen A. Smith — and his 5.6 million following — took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Booker, point guard Chris Paul and the rest of the Suns’ epic collapse.

Only Smith tagged the wrong Devin Booker. Cue up the pointing-Spiderman meme.

“I didn’t know I was supposed to show up,” the other Booker tweeted Monday morning. “I had a game in Istanbul the same day. I’ll be ready next time.”

They may not be the same person, but the other Booker is in fact a hooper as well, just overseas in the Turkish Basketball Super League.

In his matchup against Frutti Extra Bursaspor on Sunday, the 6-foot-9, 249-pound center recorded 15 points, six rebound and four assists in just over 24 minutes of play in the victory.

But despite the respectable stat line, this Booker is likely seeing an influx of social-media attention from the Smith tweet that has over 42,000 likes and 4,000 retweets.

Any press is good press?
