Cam Skattebo lands backflip following first TD since injury

New York Giants and former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo knew how to celebrate his first touchdown of the season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

In his first game back after suffering season-ending leg injuries in his rookie season, Skattebo did his trademark backflip following a three-yard run to the end zone in the first quarter to put the Giants up 7-0.

His backflip went much more according to plan on Sunday than it did in July at Fanatics Fest in New York City, when Skattebo awkwardly fell after attempting his trademark celebration. Following the incident, Skattebo said he met with head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen and said he wouldn’t do backflips outside of games.

The flip wasn’t the only viral play from Skattebo, as he was seen with a bloody nose after being grabbed by the facemask on a tackle, which was not called for a penalty.

Skattebo has had a big presence off the field in the last year, as he has been seen at several events across the sports and entertainment world, including UFC 322, “Monday Night Raw,” Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals and Fanatics Fest. He recently starred in a State Farm commercial where he headbutted a wall, among other things.
