Diamondbacks handcuffed by Braves in series finale: By the Numbers

After being handcuffed for most of Sunday afternoon by Atlanta Braves starter Shelby Miller, the Arizona Diamondbacks finally broke through in the eighth inning with a run to tie the game at 1.
Miller had no-hit the Diamondbacks through seven innings before Nick Ahmed broke it up with a leadoff single to start the eighth. Ahmed would later score the only run for the Diamondbacks.
Miller was bidding to become the fifth pitcher this year to throw a no-hitter and the first Brave since Kent Mercker no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1994.
Cameron Maybin gave the Braves a 2-1 win in 10 innings when he hit a walk off home run to left field.
The loss drops the Diamondbacks to 57-59 on the year, as they will look to get back to .500 when they begin a three game series in Pittsburgh Monday.

With the loss, the D-backs fall to 9-7 in extra-inning games this year and 17-19 in one-run games.

The loss drops the D-backs record against the Braves this year to 3-3, as the D-backs won the series at Chase Field in June. However, they would drop the series in Atlanta.

The Diamondbacks finish the season with a 12-14 record against the NL East, including going 5-2 against the Marlins.

D-backs starter Rubby De La Rosa pitched seven innings, giving up one run on seven hits. He struck out three and walked four.

David Peralta continued his hot streak collecting one of the Diamondbacks three hits on the afternoon. In his last seven games, Peralta has hit .500 with two home runs and 10 RBIs.
