The Tennessee Titans are like the Arizona Cardinals and searching for a new general manager. There’s a strong chance they will interview some of the same candidates, and it turns out, they already have.

Tennessee interviewed Arizona’s vice president of player personnel Quentin Harris, the Titans announced on Saturday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to report the interview request on Monday.

Harris joined vice president of pro personnel Adrian Wilson as the co-interim general managers when Steve Keim began a health-related absence in mid-December.

The Cardinals announced on Monday they had fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury and that Keim was stepping away from his duties to focus on his health.

Owner Michael Bidwill spoke Monday afternoon and confirmed that Harris, Wilson and one unnamed external candidate have already been interviewed by the Cardinals for the vacant general manager position.

Harris is currently in his 15th season in Arizona’s scouting department. He also spent time as director of player personnel as well as the director of pro scouting for six seasons.

Tennessee has an opening at GM after firing Jon Robinson in early December. Robinson had served in the role for seven years.

“We want someone who is an exceptional talent evaluator, exceptional at roster building and someone who is an excellent decision-maker,” Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said in a recent interview. “I also want someone who is a collaborator, someone who is able to find and build consensus to get to the best answers for the team, someone who is open to innovation and evaluating talent beyond the traditional avenues.

“Just really a talented person in all areas. But more than anything I want someone that can collaborate – that is super important to me, being able to find this person who can collaborate so we’re all working together, rowing the same direction. I am excited about the process, and I am excited about finding the right person. I think this is going to be a great reset for us going forward, a chance to bring in new ideas, a new way of doing things.”
