The Arizona Coyotes signed first-round pick Brendan Perlini to a three-year entry-level contract Friday, the team announced.
Perlini, 18, was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft after posting a 34-47-71 line in 58 games with Niagra (OHL) in 2013-14.
“We are very pleased to sign Brendan to an entry-level contract,” said Coyotes GM Don Maloney. “Brendan is a strong skater with great size and skill. He had an impressive prospect development camp and we look forward to watching his development.”
A 6-foot-2, 205-pound wing, Perlini is likely at least a season or two away from playing for the Coyotes.
