ASU is bringing the maroon, gold and Sparky look back for the first time this season for the Territorial Cup, while Arizona is going with white, blue and the block A on its helmet.

ASU is bringing the maroon, gold and Sparky look back for the first time this season on Friday for the Territorial Cup, while Arizona is going with white, blue and the block A on its helmet.
Week 1 against NAU was the only other time this season that ASU wore the maroon jersey with gold pants, and it was accompanied then by a pitchfork on the helmet. The full traditional look will make its return in the regular season finale.

It’s the third time Sparky has appeared on a gold helmet this season, after the Sun Devils went with the gold-white-gold combo in Week 4 at Baylor and Week 11 at Iowa State.
ASU went with the full traditional combo in both postseason games in 2024.
Arizona will wear blue pants for the second time this season — and second week in a row — along with the block A helmet and white jersey pairing it wore in Week 12.

This is the first time the Wildcats have gone white-white-blue at any point this season, regardless of the logo on the helmet. They’ve most often gone white-blue-white.

As all of these schools try to placate 17 to 20 year olds with how "cool" their threads are, and keep-up with Oregon in fashion, THIS uniform is only one the Devils should wear at home, period. No Maserati trident, no black, no all dark gray, etc. . . . Ya want to go Prada on the road, no worries, but I respect the Bama, Penn State, Texas, Georgia, Michigan, USC, etc., traditional, instantly recognizable, brand of those schools . . . Just like Sparky, just like these uniforms. Now, get off my lawn.
Meh . . . I find the 4 PM kick-offs to be the best. One gets the beautiful mid-day tailgating, and not having to wait around all day for the game-then you're too amped-up at 10:30 if they win, or too depressed if they lose. If the Devils win, it'll be 29-27 on a Jesus G., time expires FG. If the Cats win, it'll be 34-24, with the Devils scoring a meaningless, garbage time, TD. Should be a good one!
