Women’s Elite Eight set, trip to Phoenix for Final Four on the line

Eight teams are left standing in the Women’s NCAA Tournament, and trips to the Final Four at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix will be on the line starting Sunday.

All four one-seeds remain in the bracket: UConn, UCLA, South Carolina and Texas.

Elite Eight schedule:

• Sunday: UConn (1) vs. Notre Dame (6) at 10 a.m. MST
• Sunday: UCLA (1) vs. Duke (3) at 12 p.m.
• Monday: Texas (1) vs. Michigan (2) at 4 p.m.
• Monday: South Carolina (1) vs. TCU (3) at 6 p.m.

The Final Four is on Friday with the championship game on April 5.

UConn, led by head coach Geno Auriemma, is the defending champion, having defeated Dawn Staley’s South Carolina in the title game last year. The Gamecocks won the 2022 and 2024 tournaments.

The undefeated Huskies won their first three NCAA Tournament games by an average of 37 points. They will take on a Notre Dame squad coming off a 67-64 win over two-seeded Vanderbilt.

Duke stunned two-seeded LSU with an Ashlon Jackson game-winner to earn a shot to taking down UCLA.
