San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello was ejected by home plate umpire Alan Porter in the middle of the third inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night.

Vitello appeared to be yelling from the dugout about a ball Nolan Arenado hit down the third-base line, which was called fair and resulted in a double.

Vitello and Porter got face-to-face before the skipper retreated to the tunnel.

Pitcher Logan Webb was also ejected from the dugout.

It was the second ejection this week for the first-year manager maneuvering through a disappointing season in San Francisco.

Bench coach Jayce Tingler will handle the reins for the rest of the game.

The Diamondbacks scored five runs in the third inning to take a 6-2 lead, while the Giants came back to cut their deficit to 6-5 in the fourth inning.
