TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals are placing offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. on injured reserve due to a torn biceps, and he will miss the rest of the season, according to head coach Mike LaFleur.
Johnson went down with the injury during the final moments of the team’s 36-24 loss to the New York Giants in Week 4.
He wasn’t the only injured on Sunday, with safety Andrew Wingard and Isaiah Adams exiting early in the contest.
The starting left tackle has missed at least three games due to injury every year since 2024. His only full season was as a rookie.
It’s unclear if his latest injury will impact contract extension talks. Arizona picked up the lineman’s fifth-year option this past offseason.
With Johnson sidelined, the team has two primary internal options to consider in Josh Fryar and Jayden Williams.
LaFleur told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo that Williams will get the opportunity to play.
Williams has gotten work in as an extra blocker and has been applauded for his work ethic and athleticism since coming aboard as a 2026 seventh-round pick.

Fryar, meanwhile, has appeared in one game this year for the Cardinals and was a healthy inactive in New York.

This team cannot catch a break
Im not surprised at all. Every Valley team is destroyed by injuries every year.
Injuries are part of the game, but we are plagued every single year.
40% of our projected starting oline already gone for the season. Bisontis and Paris. Another projected anchor, Tipp Reiman has not stepped on the field. The replacement for Bisontis, Isiah Adams has not been healthy the entire year.
Meanwhile, incompetent Monti does nothing...
Mr. B simply does not care what we think. The only possible reason is he is perfectly happy to own and NFL team and to run in those circles. The actual work needed to win holds absolutely no appeal to him.
Basically, every non decision is FU fans.
A rookie QB with no o line, against the cards up coming schedule?? Ouch.
