Cardinals place Isaiah Adams on injured reserve
Adams, who is dealing with an ankle injury, will now miss at least the next four games.
The hits keep coming to the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive line.
After losing starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. for the season earlier this week, the Cardinals placed starting right guard Isaiah Adams on injured reserve on Saturday.
Adams, who is dealing with an ankle injury, will now miss at least the next four games. On Friday, head coach Mike LaFleur had already ruled the starting guard out for Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.
With Adams sidelined, Jon Gaines II is slated to step into the starting lineup at right guard.
To fill Adams’ spot on the 53-man active roster, Arizona promoted cornerback Art Green from the practice squad as a standard elevation.
The news along the trench adds to an already turbulent week for the Cardinals’ offense.
Arizona will also be without wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for Sunday’s contest against Detroit. Harrison will be a healthy inactive as the team tries to trade the former No. 4 overall pick.
Arizona Sports‘ John Gambadoro reports no deal for Harrison will be finalized until Monday, after the wide receiver has taken a physical.
