Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. reeled in his first target as a member of the Houston Texans on Sunday.

He finished the game with three catches on four targets for 34 yards in the Texans’ 34-31 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I feel good. I came here to help the team win games and we did that,” Harrison told reporters postgame.

Harrison was seldom used through the Texans’ first three drives with just one snap.

But on Houston’s fourth possession, quarterback C.J. Stroud found his Ohio State teammate in the middle of the field for 14 yards.

Stroud looked his way the very next play but couldn’t connect with the wideout.

Harrison’s catch helped set up Houston for a 25-yard field goal to retake an early lead in the second quarter. He had four total snaps in the first half.

The wide receiver added 14-yard and six-yard catches for first downs early on in the third quarter.

“It felt like old times,” Stroud told reporters. “I thought he looked great. We’ll get him more touches going forward.”

The wide receiver entered Sunday’s game with five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in four games with the Cardinals.

Arizona shipped off Harrison and a 2027 sixth-round pick last Sunday to Houston in exchange for a 2027 second- and seventh-round pick.

The wideout was taken with the No. 4 overall pick in 2024 but never lived up to expectations or planted his flag as Arizona’s undisputed WR1.

With him no longer on the roster, tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Michael Wilson will continue to see the bulk of targets.

Jalen Brooks and Reggie Virgil, meanwhile, step into bigger roles following Harrison’s departure.

he had 30yds ilmao, notice you left that part out. He didn’t look great the same issues he’s always had were on Display. Stroud looked good which he has all year before Jr even got there. You act like Harrison jr had some huge game, he didn’t. He has 34yds and 0TD, with stats that like he may hit 400-500yds receiving by January ilmao

He still looks slow as a desert tortoise 🐢, dude can’t separate. It was a horrible pick but good trade/salvage, he’ll never be the guy we drafted him to be. Monti should of went with the athlete in Nabers from jump, everything he touches is a mistake

Jacksonville is 30th in passing yards given up. That's not exactly a stout defense that he played against.
