The University of Arizona and Arizona-based online car retailer Carvana announced a partnership that designates Carvana as the exclusive auto partner of Arizona athletics and the official jersey patch sponsor for Wildcats men’s and women’s basketball.
The deal makes Carvana the first jersey patch partner in school history and will extend beyond athletics to create broader connections between Carvana and the University of Arizona, according to the university’s press release.
“We are pleased to announce this transformative partnership between Arizona Athletics and Carvana,” Arizona athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois said. “Carvana has deep Arizona roots and shares our commitment to innovation, competitive excellence and community engagement. The depth of this partnership showcases the power of the Wildcats brand and creates impactful opportunities for our men’s and women’s basketball student-athletes. We appreciate everyone who worked together to bring this to life.”

The partnership will also include in-venue branding at McKale Center, digital and social content, radio and ESPN+ inventory, game sponsorships, fan activations and hospitality opportunities. Examples include a season-long social media series of short- and mid-form storytelling on both programs and the integration of Carvana-sponsored Wildcats basketball alumni reunions.
Carvana will also work with select men’s and women’s basketball players on Name, Image and Likeness initiatives.
“Arizona men’s basketball is a premium brand built on our people, our tradition and the standard we strive to uphold every day,” men’s basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd said. “Carvana shares that commitment to people and excellence, and we are grateful for their meaningful investment in our program. We’re excited to welcome them to our family and to serve the best fans in the country together.”
All Big 12 Conference football and basketball programs now have a Monster Energy patch on their jerseys after the energy drink company partnered with the conference ahead of the 2026 season. Arizona’s Carvana patch will be stitched on the right shoulder above the Nike logo, while the Monster Energy-Big 12 patch will be on the left shoulder.
