Reid is not ranked by 247 Sports, but Rivals lists him as a three-star recruit.

In addition to ASU and Wyoming, Reid had offers from several other schools, including Kansas, Florida Atlantic and Akron.

Reid’s commitment marks the second lineman recruit for ASU’s 2027 class after four-star prospect and Basha High School offensive tackle Jake Hildebrand committed to the program in May.

ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham recently discussed the importance of paying attention to and targeting players who are reaching their peak during their senior year.

“I think senior eval(uations) are a priority for us,” Dillingham told reporters Monday. “Watching tape and saying, ‘Hey, this guy who’s a senior is playing unbelievably well. How do we go get him? … Or this guy who’s committed to (a school) is under the radar, but his senior tape is unbelievable. How do we go get him? The Keith Abneys, the Montana Warrens, C.J. Fites.

“I think it’s a combination, but it’s all based off senior eval. We want to make sure that we’re a team that is as in-depth as anybody with the senior film of guys.”

ASU’s 2027 class was ranked 78th by 247 Sports.
