PHOENIX SUNS

The transcendent career timeline of Suns legend Steve Nash

Oct 30, 2015, 4:42 PM

When considering the pantheon of legendary sports figures to star in Phoenix, the name Steve Nash ranks second to none.  Serving as the face of the Suns franchise for eight memorable seasons, including the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons in which Nash earned league MVP honors, the former Santa Clara product was a dominant, if not unassuming, force that redefined the way the point guard position is played in the NBA.

In addition to being a two-time MVP and eight-time All-Star, Nash is one of six players in NBA history to shoot over 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three and 90 percent from the free throw line over multiple seasons, joining immortal names such as Larry Bird, Reggie Miller and Kevin Durant.

Below is the timeline of events documenting Nash’s meteoric rise from underrated collegiate star to future Hall of Famer.
