Trey Griffey’s 95-yard touchdown gives his dad Ken a great birthday present

Baseball great Ken Griffey Jr. turned 46 years old on Saturday and it’s hard to doubt that he will get a better birthday present than his son Trey making the biggest play of his college career thus far.

Griffey, a junior, has been battling through injuries this season and only had seven receptions for 82 yards entering Saturday’s game. He would outdo his entire season total of yards in one play.

Griffey’s incredible 95-yard reception improbably brought the Wildcats to within one score of the Arizona State Sun Devils. The junior’s big catch was one of the longest catches in Arizona history.

Griffey’s catch gave the Wildcats some life and one has to imagine that there isn’t anyone more proud than his dad.
