On the second day of training camp, the Arizona Cardinals weren’t just trying to get better with the guys they had on the field, they were looking to bring in outside talent as well.

The Cardinals announced Saturday they signed wide receiver Franky Okafor and released wide receiver Rico Richardson.

Okafor was a rookie free agent from Southeastern Oklahoma State, where he had 93 receptions for 1,350 yards and 10 touchdowns in 22 games the last two seasons.

Okafor led the team with 841 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season, his senior year. He is listed as six-foot three-inches tall and 190 pounds.

Southeastern Oklahoma State was the second college Okafor attended, as he began his college career at Trinity Vally Community College in Athens, Texas.

The Cardinals signed Richardson in June after he spent the last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

Per usual, terms of the deal were not released.
