Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is officially inactive for his team’s Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
Cornerback Elijah Jones, safety Kitan Crawford, running back Emari Demercado and offensive linemen Demontrey Jones and Josh Fryar are also inactive.
Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones, defensive lineman Darius Robinson and offensive lineman Will Hernandez, however, are active after entering the matchup as questionable.
For the Packers, kicker Brandon McManus, running back Pierre Strong Jr., offensive lineman Anthony Belton and Donovan Jennings, tight end Ben Sims and defensive linemen Lukas Van Ness and Devonte Wyatt are out.
Not on the shelf for Green Bay are running back Josh Jacobs, wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks, offensive lineman Zach Tom and cornerbacks Keisean Nixon and Nate Hobbs.
Kyler Murray’s return coming soon?
Kyler Murray is expected to make his return from his foot injury after the Cardinals’ bye week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
That would put the quarterback in line for Arizona’s Monday Night Football matchup on Nov. 3 at the Dallas Cowboys, Schefter said.
With Murray sidelined, the Cardinals will look to Jacoby Brissett at quarterback for the second straight week against the Packers.
Murray missed the team’s loss to the Colts last week due to the injury.
He had practiced in limited fashion and during the open portions of practice this week had been slinging to Arizona’s practice squad members while Brissett and Kedon Slovis got reps with starters.
Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was a full practice participant Friday and is out of concussion protocols, setting him up to play on Sunday.

Kyler can’t read defenses, and I’d argue he’s not that talented. Is Kyler incredibly athletic, sure. But he’s not a leader, and he plays football like a scared child who is always looking to tuck and run when he feels pressure. Jacoby will stay in the pocket under pressure and deliver the ball the the open receiver. Something Kyler is incapable of doing it consistently. Plus Jacoby is a leader of men, Kyler is a whinny diva. I’d prefer to never watch Kyler in a cards uniform again.

Murray's 45.1 QBR this season has a lot to do with it. He hasn't lived up to the hype and is now in his seventh year.
