Dave Burns

Dave Burns has lived and worked in Arizona for nearly his entire life. Born in Flagstaff, raised in Tempe, he has the unusual distinction of attending the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University AND Arizona State University. He has been on the air in Phoenix since 1995 and part of the KTAR cluster of stations since 1998. If it’s happened in Valley sports, he’s covered it or talked about it. ASU’s Rose Bowl season, both World Series, multiple Super Bowls, multiple National Championship games in College Football and of course the NBA Finals. All of the local teams are near and dear to him but the Suns quest for a championship is the one that haunts him the most. If he’s not watching the game chances are he’s at the movies or hiking up a mountain somewhere. Dave can be heard from 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday on Arizona Sports.

John Gambadoro

John Gambadoro aka Gambo is a longtime afternoon drive sports radio host in Arizona. He began his journalism career as a sports writer for Newsday in New York in 1989 before making the move to the Valley in 1996 to begin his radio broadcasting career. Gambo has been voted Best of the Valley several times as well as hosting a show that is perennially in the top 20 major market afternoon shows across the country. Known for breaking stories and inside information, Gambo has a huge following on social media that consists of Arizona sports fans from all over the world. His passion is baseball and cameras did catch him popping champagne with Manager Torey Lovullo and the Diamondbacks in the Arizona clubhouse immediately following the D-backs sweeping the Dodgers in the 2023 playoffs. Gambo has three grown daughters and he and his wife Chelsie reside in Ahwatukee with their two other children. John and Chelsie are involved with several local charities, but their biggest passion is saving animals as they put a lot of time and effort into supporting animal rescues. In spare time the two love to travel. They were married in Lake Como, Italy and go back every summer to see Gambo’s family.
