Dave Burns

Dave Burns has lived and worked in Arizona for nearly his entire life. Born in Flagstaff, raised in Tempe, he has the unusual distinction of attending the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University AND Arizona State University. He has been on the air in Phoenix since 1995 and part of the KTAR cluster of stations since 1998. If it’s happened in Valley sports, he’s covered it or talked about it. ASU’s Rose Bowl season, both World Series, multiple Super Bowls, multiple National Championship games in College Football and of course the NBA Finals. All of the local teams are near and dear to him but the Suns quest for a championship is the one that haunts him the most. If he’s not watching the game chances are he’s at the movies or hiking up a mountain somewhere. Dave can be heard from 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday on Arizona Sports.
