Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler among latest commits to play in 2026 WM Phoenix Open
Hideki Matsuyama and Rickie Fowler are among the latest golfers who will play in this year's WM Phoenix Open.

Hideki Matsuyama and Rickie Fowler are among the latest golfers who will play in this year’s WM Phoenix Open.
Additionally, Nick Taylor, Gary Woodland and Webb Simpson are scheduled to play in the WM Phoenix Open. They join No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka in competing in the tournament.
Matsuyama is a two-time winner of the WM Phoenix Open (2016-17). Meanwhile, Woodland won in 2018, while Fowler, Simpson and Taylor won in 2019, 2020 and 2024, respectively.
“We take great pride in the fact that champions want to come back and compete at the WM Phoenix Open,” tournament chairman Jason Eisenberg said in a Monday announcement.
“When past winners return to TPC Scottsdale, it reinforces the strength of this field and the standard of competition our fans expect. From the top of the world rankings to proven champions who know what it takes to win here, this group reflects the depth, history and competitive excellence that define ‘The People’s Open.'”
Among the committed golfers, Woodland finished the highest in last year’s tournament, tying for 21st with Bud Cauley, Alex Smalley and Si Woo Kim at 10 under par.
When is the WM Phoenix Open?
The 2026 WM Phoenix Open will take place at TPC Scottsdale from Feb. 2-8.
