Former UA star Stoudamire won’t say how he got that BMW in college

Former point guard Damon Stoudamire is sorry for nearly running over a fellow University of Arizona student back when he played for the Wildcats.

He’s not so sorry for what he was driving.

That BMW didn’t pay for itself but Stoudamire, who is now the head coach at Pacific, isn’t going to snitch on who might’ve helped set him up with the car.

Guy in airport said he went to U of A and enjoyed watching me play. Then said I almost hit him in my BMW by the stadium in 1993! 🤦🏽‍♂️ finished with I never seen a college team have so many guys w / nice whips🤷🏽‍♂️ 🤐🤫

As the current era of the Arizona basketball program attempts to distance itself from the college basketball corruption scandal involving the FBI, Stoudamire’s emoji-laden admission goes to show that college basketball has never been as amateurish as the NCAA would like us to believe.

And after his tweet, other former college players of Stoudamire’s era weren’t shy about admitting that they too received a few benefits under the table.
