Chris Paul or CP3? Commanders quiz their rookies

Sharing a common name can always go sideways.

See Devin Booker the international basketball player taking criticism for the Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker losing in the playoffs in the past week. Or former Arizona Cardinals long snapper Mike Leach getting confused with pirate fan and college football coach Mike Leach.

Now we have Chris Paul, Washington Commanders rookie guard, sharing the name and position of Suns guard Chris Paul.

The Commanders made a quiz out of it because both Chris Pauls are interesting dudes. Washington asked its rookie classmates of football-playing Chris Paul to guess which fun fact is about which Paul.

It’s actually a little hard.

Spoilers: One of them has a favorite vacation spot in Venice, Italy, and many of the rookies assumed it was the Paul who has a bit more money to spend on international vacations. It was not.

Another surprise: The Commanders’ CP3 — not the future Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer — had his high school host a “Chris Paul Day.”

Not shocking is the fact that the vegan Paul is not the one who is 6-foot-4 and 323 pounds. That would be the Point God.
