Pay up! Devin Booker gets thrown into Steph Curry’s losing golf bet

Friendly wagers on the golf course never hurt anybody.

They may, however, include unsuspecting people — like Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker — from time to time.

After dropping a nine-hole match (that ended in a chip off) against YouTuber Gabby Golf Girl, Booker’s Team USA teammate and Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry settled up the loss with the help of the recently extended Sun.

“I’m out here on the golf course and I just lost a bet and I had to pay it up. You’re the most amazing teammate that anybody can have, so I figured you’d come in and help me out,” he told Booker over FaceTime.

“I was going to have her caddy for me with the biggest, heaviest PGA Tour bag you’ve ever seen in your life but I lost. She is now gonna get to play against you in a 1v1 match at some point.”

Curry made sure to sprinkle into his pseudo-sales pitch that Booker, who knows his way around a course, has been “balling” on the links and should get the appropriate strokes in the future match.

As for Booker’s thoughts on paying up on the bet?

“I got an idea. Flagstaff, Arizona. In the mountains. Ball goes forever,” the guard responded.

Easy enough. Book it.
