His name is ‘Wade Phillips,’ in case you didn’t know

For a long time now Wade Phillips has been a respected football coach known for producing top-notch defenses.

He has been a head coach for a handful of teams, and last season saw his star reach new heights as he guided the Denver Broncos’ Super-Bowl winning defense.

Under his tutelage, the Broncos were first in the NFL yards allowed, fourth in points surrendered and first in sacks, and their defense is widely viewed as the reason why Denver knocked off the favored Carolina Panthers 24-10 to take home the title.

So, it would stand to reason Phillips would have a certain kind of appreciation for the championship, given the significant role he played in it.

Too bad his Super Bowl ring did not come out quite right.

No word on what name is actually on the ring, and for what it’s worth, it’s still a pretty nice piece of jewelry.
