J.J. Watt appears on sitcom singing about hot dogs … because why not?
Athletes need stuff to do in the offseason. For J.J. Watt, it's acting and singing about hot dogs.
If you tuned into Tuesday’s episode of “New Girl” on Fox, you would have seen an appearance from NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans.
Watt plays himself and appears at a memorial service for his agent, an unseen character named Pete, who went out on a couple of dates with Jess, played by the show’s star, Zooey Deschanel, before passing away.
Watt, Deschanel and Damon Wayans Jr. end up in the garage, looking for the deceased character’s phone and end up singing songs about sports food. We’re not making this up. And yes, you too can become a sitcom writer, apparently.
