Kid cries over cereal because he wants Marcus Mariota back at Oregon

Call him a terrible father. But call him a reality show genius.

This dad knows little Oregon fan Clive Johnson loves him some Marcus Mariota. So when he asks about the former Duck’s successor at quarterback, he expects Clive is going to say something super cute. So he films it.

Instead of giving a brief analysis of Oregon’s quarterback battle, Clive is overcome with the realization that his hero won’t be coming back. Mariota is a Tennessee Titan now.

Clive can’t handle this. Trying to push through the initial question to finish his bowl of cereal, he loses control of his tear ducts when dad follows up.

“Does that make you sad that Marcus had to leave?” the father asks.

Definitely, yes.

Out of this terrible heartbreak that most Duck fans are likely experiencing, there is good news. Marcus Mariota wants to give Clive a Titans jersey of his own.
