Adrian Peterson didn’t get many touches with the New Orleans Saints.

He also didn’t produce much when he did.

But the downturn of a very successful NFL career? Don’t call it that just yet.

Be it circumstance or otherwise, the future Hall of Fame running back proved he’s still got gas left in the tank from the first touch on in his debut for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a 38-33 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Less than a week after being dealt from New Orleans to Arizona, Peterson led Arizona to a touchdown on the first drive of the Week 6 showdown with the Buccaneers and continued setting up the most dynamic offensive performance yet for the Cardinals this season.

Thanks for the trade, Saints.

From fantasy folks to Cardinals fans — but probably not Saints fans — Peterson gave many people reasons to be happy through just the first half Sunday.

That meant lots of “The Office” memes. And more!

Hilarious. Michael Scott, BA, and Undertaker killed me.

Yeah, it seems like BA's obsession with fast starts still seems to be at the expense of fast finishes. This start was fast enough and good enough to hold 'em off, but it's something that really needs to be addressed moving forward.

Yeah I can tell it really affected the Saints today only scoring 52 on a team the Cards couldn't beat ☹️ On a Cards note though he did look great and was a huge help and inspiration for the offense. A little less apathy in the second half would have helped though 👍
