Triple for tat: Bradley dares fan to go through with Archie face tattoo

An Arizona Diamondbacks fan promised on Twitter he would get a tattoo of Archie Bradley's face painted on his back, if Bradley drove in a run.

With pitcher Archie Bradley at the plate and two runners on in the Diamondbacks’ NL Wild Card win on Wednesday, an Arizona fan tweeted a promise to get the reliever’s face tattooed on his back — only if the D-backs reliever drove in a run.

Not only did Bradley become the first player in MLB history to enter a postseason game as a relief pitcher and hit a triple, the 25-year-old responded to fan Jeff Buss on Twitter after the Diamondbacks clinched an NLDS berth.

“You better do it,” Bradley wrote.

Fans responded with anticipation, waiting to see if Buss would follow through or not.

But this morning, Buss had second thoughts about getting the tattoo.

Lets just say Buss’ attempt to back out did not fly with D-backs fans. Some people did present Buss with another option.

Not only did Bradley’s triple drive in one run, the first extra-base hit of his career plated two runs. Some people think that means Buss needs to one-up his original promise.

A tattoo is forever, but so is reneging on a bet. And tweeting it.

I think he has no choice at this point. I'd find a tattoo artist that specializes in super tiny tattoos of faces.
