For the third straight day, the Arizona Diamondbacks have faced weather delays in Cincinnati against the Reds.

Wednesday’s 3:40 p.m. MST first pitch was delayed nearly two hours until the game got underway at 5:20 p.m. MST.

Scattered storms began rolling through the area on Monday afternoon and have been consistently providing rain to the area since. Monday’s game had batting practice affected thanks to a severe thunderstorm warning and first pitch had to be pushed back 10 minutes before another storm forced play to be paused in the seventh inning. With the forecast not getting to a manageable point and a 7-0 scoreline, the game was called a final.

The next day saw another rain delay in a similar trend. The D-backs were down big (9-0), the heavy rain came quick and the game was through seven innings. This contest, however, would continue after the delay lasted an hour. Arizona would put together five runs in the top of the eighth, only to give up five in the bottom half before scoring three more in the top of the ninth for a 14-8 final.

More storms came through Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Earlier in the evening, there was a tornado warning just east of the Cincinnati area.

The D-backs have the series finale against the Reds on Thursday at 12:40 p.m. and then will conclude their 10-game road trip with three in Philadelphia versus the Phillies.
