Snakes need to go 10-3 in this stretch of Rockies and Giants, and they just squandered one of those . . . I'll say it til I'm blue in the face: TL needs to go, let Jeff Bannister interim the rest of the year, and light a fire under these batters.
The White Sox have a better record. WTF
What is the problem? TL! I know that this is the easy answer but I truly believe that TL is the problem. He is a good man so it isn't personal...it is business. His job is to win games! He is not a good manager.
TL plays not to lose games instead of playing to win games. Today, the double steal was a great call. However, two innings later, Jose was on first and it seems like he wasn't given the green light to steal...McCann hit into a double play. Jose has speed...use it for the team advantage.
When TL was on the Gambo & Burns on Friday, Gambo had some internal fortitude and asked TL why he didn't made this 'call' in a game in Texas. It seems like TL never thought of it.
I will have a lot more respect for TL is he plays to win and lose the game than to play not to lose and still lose the game.
