Gabriel Moreno hits go-ahead homer, Zac Gallen tosses quality start in win vs. Reds
Gabriel Moreno's eighth-inning home run was one of three homers for the Diamondbacks on Sunday in their first series win in June.

Gabriel Moreno gave the Diamondbacks a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning, as Arizona beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-3 for its first series win since a sweep at the San Francisco Giants (May 25-27).
Along with a two-run homer from Geraldo Perdomo two innings earlier, Sunday was a small breakthrough for an Arizona offense that had scored one run or fewer in three of its previous four games.
Following the eighth inning, with Arizona leading Cincinnati 4-3, the game entered a rain delay just after 1 p.m. MST that lasted a little over an hour before resuming play around 2:15 p.m.
After the delay, the D-backs, who had previously gone 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position and 2-for-20 in the series, finally cracked through as Ketel Marte hit an RBI-single to make it 5-3. Paul Sewald would close out the Reds in the bottom of the ninth for his 17th save of the season to secure the series win for Arizona.
Zac Gallen worked a quality start after a rocky first few innings and passed Brandon Webb for second on the franchise’s all-time strikeouts list in the process.
Gallen struck out four on Sunday to put his total at 1,067. The longtime Diamondback (2019-present) doesn’t have much of a shot at catching Randy Johnson, who leads the franchise with 2,077 punchouts.
Following a long first three innings (54 pitches, two of his three earned runs allowed), Gallen sat down nine straight batters ahead of Cincinnati’s Noelvi Marte going yard for the third straight day.
With the win on Sunday, manager Torey Lovullo notched his 700th victory with the D-backs.
Diamondbacks’ next game
After a six-game road trip, the D-backs return to Chase Field for a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Ryne Nelson is set to start for Arizona against Los Angeles righty Walbert Urena.

That is what I was going to write but I was waiting to post if the Dbacks' external public relation team, the Arizona Sports, was going to write a separate article on TL's 700th win today.
After the game was completed, my son and I went out to run some errands. We were listening to post game on 98.7 when they had a lovefest on TL stating that he is the winningest manager for the Dbacks, he has more wins than any other manager, etc.
I look at my son and said "10 seasons and 700 wins is 70 wins a season...LOSER!" Of course, the season isn't over and I came up with an average of winning 75-76 games per season...which is what you came up with.

Who cares if you have the most wins IF YOU ALSO have the most losses AND a losing record. He has been a manager 2x or more than the other managers...he should have more wins than the other managers!
There are three other managers with a better winning percentage.
To the Dbacks internal and external media, STOP THE GASLIGHTING! Focus on having the Dbacks to get into the playoffs instead of polishing up TL image as a winner.

While it is a W, there are issues like the lacking of hitting (hitting 3 home runs are great but the Dbacks are at the bottom of the MLB in home runs...I like singles, doubles and triples...you can't always count on the home runs), Reds outhit the Dbacks, Team LOB 7, Team RISP 1-4, etc. Again, it was good to get the W but the focus needs to be on the bats!
The .500 Snakes doing what they do . . . Meh . . . They'll win 2 out of 3 against the Angels and maybe the same against the Twins . . . Yawn. I'm going to beat this dead horse until it happens: DFA Pavin Smith, and replace Torey with Bannister.
