Jordan Goodwin put on a career-best shooting display, but it was Devin Booker’s 3 in the final second that gave the Phoenix Suns a 108-105 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
Booker had 8.2 seconds on the clock following Valley product Jalen Williams tying things up at 105, and he went to work against Alex Caruso, stepping to his left to get the shot over the help coming in the form of Lu Dort.

Booker’s first 3-point make of the night came at the right time after he started 0-for-3 from deep, finishing with 24 points on 5 of 11 shooting with nine assists and one turnover.
Oklahoma City was left just 0.7 seconds, and its shot fell short.
Goodwin’s eight made 3-pointers on 13 attempts marked one career high, while his 26 points marked another.
The reserve guard also provided physical defense against Thunder ball-handlers, keeping Williams from getting inside the arc on a drive with two minutes left and the game knotted up at 100.
He followed that up with a tough jumper at the end of the shot clock on the ensuing possession, giving the Suns a 102-100 lead. On the next Suns possession, Dillon Brooks knocked down a 3 with 36 seconds left to make it a four-point lead.
The Suns were down by as much as 15 points in the first quarter and 18 in the second before an 11-0 run to end the first half put them back in the game. They led early in the fourth quarter before having to chase OKC the rest of the frame.
Goodwin played a massive role in Phoenix staying with the defending champs, as he had nine points — on 3-for-3 shooting from the corners — in the fourth.
Only seven other players have hit at least eight 3s against Oklahoma City this season, according to StatMuse.

This is why I'm a Suns fan. Teams like this. Forget trying to buy a "super team." This is what it's all about. Couldn't be happier for Goody and Collin and the rest of the guys who just needed a chance on the right team. And Book, the man, what can you say. Mr. Suns.
Heck of a game, and somebody pinch me, but did the Sun's finally earn a little respect from the refs tonight? Calls seemed balanced and the Sun's matching OKCs aggressiveness seems like it snapped things into balance.
Also props to Oso who seems to be figuring it out, and props to Brooks for kicking him in the butt.
As much as I complained about Booker last year, he certainly earned his pay tonight.
Damn this is a fun team to root for.
