Suns have the NBA’s 8th-easiest schedule in February

With more than half of the NBA regular season completed, the Phoenix Suns are attempting to climb out of the play-in group of the Western Conference standings.

Phoenix enters Friday night’s contest against the Warriors sitting ninth in the Western Conference at a 25-22 record.

That could be tough. According to ESPN analytics, Phoenix has the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA.

There is some good news: Whether they make a trade at the Feb. 6 deadline or not — and before things get very tough — they can take advantage of the eighth-easiest schedule in February by opponent record, as compiled by NBA.com’s John Schuhmann.

• The Suns have a relatively easy schedule regarding the opponents, but they’re one of two teams with five back-to-backs and have a league-high four rest-disadvantage games in February. They currently have the league’s biggest differential between their record with rest (22-16, .579) and their record in the second games of back-to-backs (2-6, .250).

The Suns’ schedule in February consists of 13 games with five being at home and eight on the road. Phoenix is tied with Houston for the most back to backs in the month with five. They are 2-6 in back to back games this season.
