Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks after he reaggravated his right hamstring strain in Saturday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers, the team announced on Tuesday.

Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro previously reported Green would likely receive imaging on Monday, and he expected the Suns guard to be out four to six weeks.

How did Jalen Green reaggravate hamstring strain?

With 40 seconds remaining in the first quarter of Saturday’s game at the Clippers, Green drove to the basket and after he passed the ball to a wide-open Ryan Dunn, Green pulled up and reached for his right hamstring.

Green limped the rest of the possession before trainers helped him off the floor and to the locker room. Shortly after, Green was ruled out for the rest of Saturday’s game.

Green strained the same hamstring during training camp and then later reaggravated it in China. He ended up missing the Suns’ first eight games of the season before making his season debut in Thursday’s win over the Clippers.

On Thursday, Green finished with a game-high 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting in 23 minutes. He ended up setting the Suns’ franchise record for most made 3s in a debut with six.

Before exiting Saturday, Green had two points, one rebound and one assist in seven minutes.

Green played all 82 games each of the past two regular seasons.
