Report: Kevin Durant has 3 ‘preferred trade destinations’ as rumors continue to run rampant

Suns’ Kevin Durant reportedly has three teams top of mind for potential landing spots if traded this offseason out of Phoenix.
ESPN’s Shams Charania on Saturday posted on X Durant’s “preferred trade destinations” are the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets. Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro said this week Durant, a Texas Longhorn, preferred landing with one of the Texas teams.
With one year remaining on his current contract, Charania added all of these teams are ones “Durant would commit to long-term.”
Charania told “The Pat McAfee Show” Friday the trade may come down this weekend whereas Gambadoro estimated sometime next week.
In a quote tweet on the same post, Charania confirmed the intent of Phoenix in this imminent situation. Regardless of the “seriously interested teams” that get dealt Durant, he said the Suns “will make the best deal for the franchise.”
Each suitor has a swing point for which the trade would be beneficial for the Suns.
When trade shenanigans do roll out, Phoenix will be hard-pressed to get a fair-value deal for one of the all-time NBA talents.
At age 36 last season, Durant averaged 26.6 points (sixth in NBA), six rebounds, 4.2 assists and shot 52.7% from the floor. He has been selected to six All-NBA First Teams, his last coming in 2018 with the Golden State Warriors.

Let me put your doubts to rest....there is zero chance the Rockets trade Amen Thompson.
Miami can only off the Warriors 1st rd pick in this draft, the 20th pick. The next pick would be their own in 2029, then 2031.
San Antonio is the team becasue Houston isn't sending any good useful players. Suns would almost be forced to take Jalen Green due to his $33 million. BUT Houston could make it worthwhile be adding all of the Suns picks.
However it shakes out, I can rest easy knowing that instead of James Jones it's a rookie GM who will negotiate the deal.
It's also reassuring that Isaiah Thomas was in attendance for the GM and HC interviews.
