Ryan Dunn, Grayson Allen out for Suns; Mark Williams to serve suspension vs. Wizards
Suns forward Ryan Dunn is out against the Wizards on Monday with a knee issue that also kept him out of Saturday's game at New Orleans.

Suns forward Ryan Dunn was downgraded to out for Phoenix’s game at the Washington Wizards on Monday with a knee issue that also kept him out Saturday at the New Orleans Pelicans.
Additionally, for Phoenix (18-13), Mark Williams will serve a one-game suspension he earned for a fight with Jose Alvarado during Saturday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Grayson Allen (knee, sixth straight game missed) and Jalen Green (hamstring, 22nd straight) remain out, while Jordan Goodwin will continue to wear a mask playing through a jaw sprain.
Dunn (right knee soreness) was initially listed as questionable for Saturday as well, following nine points and eight rebounds in Phoenix’s win at New Orleans on Friday. He played 21 minutes in the win, including the majority of the fourth quarter.
Saturday was the second-year forward’s first missed game since Nov. 29, which was the last of a five-game stretch he missed due to a wrist injury.
In nine December appearances, Dunn has averaged five points (16.7% on two 3-point attempts), 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game (20.2 minutes).

The Wizards (7-23) will be without starting forward Khris Middleton (injury management). Sharpshooter Corey Kispert will be out for the second straight game with a hamstring issue, Kyshawn George has hip flexor soreness that saw him downgraded from questionable to out and Cam Whitmore is dealing with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.
Malaki Branham (thumb sprain) was initially listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup before being cleared.

I'd like to see Koby Brea get some minutes.
While checking out the Grizzlies-Wizards game to see who actually plays for the Wizards now and came across a little fun fact that I wasn't aware of. Justin Champagnie is a rotation player for the Wizards. Sound familiar? He should, he is the identical twin of the Spurs Julian Champagnie. For some unknown reason I thought the Spurs Champagnie was from France. Turns out they are from Brooklyn and their father if from Jamaica.
The Wizards Frenchman is center Alex Sarr, averaging 18/8. Sarr is joined by fellow 6'-7" Frenchman Bilal Coulibaly who just scored a season high 21 against the Raptors. They are joined by the 6th overall pick Tre Johnson a 6'-5" guard. Vets CJ McCollum and Kris Middleton round out tonight's starting line-up. Last years 14th pick, Bub Carrington comes off their bench. Marvin Bagley III and Malaki Branham round out their healthy rotation. When healthy Kispert, Kyshawn George and Whitmore would be playing.
Six minutes remaining in the game and the Wizards youngsters have an eight point lead on the Grizzlies who are down four rotation players. Suns could have a game tomorrow night.
EDIT: Wizards slap the Grizzlies with a loss tonight. Wizards placed EIGHT players in double-digit scoring. with 26 assists and grabbed 63 rebounds. They held the Grizzlies to 42% FG and 28% from three, had 9 steals and 11 blocked shots. They committed 19 turnovers but hit 24 of 25 free-throws.
They are coached by Brian Keefe who started the season 1-15. GM is Will Dawkins. Their boss is Michael Winger. Supposedly they are emphasizing building culture and developing players. Wizards are now 4-6 in their last ten. This is going to be interesting game, Wizards will be looking to get another win tomorrow night.
I've seen Allen drive into the paint against redwood trees, I certainly wouldn't call him a wimp.
I'm sure it's quite possible that he's injured his knee, and that holding him out of games is a way of making sure he doesn't blow it completely out, requiring surgery.
