ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that all signs indicate Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant remaining with the team ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

The news comes after reports of the Golden State Warriors showing interest in trading for the 14-time All-Star. Durant spent three seasons with Golden State from 2016-19 where he won two NBA Finals MVP awards.

However, Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported on Wednesday that Durant had showed no interest in reuniting with Golden State nor any interest in being traded at all.

The Warriors pivoted from Durant on Wednesday and acquired Miami Heat forward and Suns trade target Jimmy Butler in a multi-team trade.

Teams have been calling the Suns about Durant, who at 36 years old is under contract for $54.7 million in 2025-26.

Durant was ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a sprained left ankle in the team’s final game before the deadline which will be at 1 p.m. MST on Thursday.
