Despite losing in their final West Group A game to the NBA-best Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, the Phoenix Suns moved on to the quarterfinals of the 2025 NBA Emirates Cup via a wild card spot and will see the Thunder again on Dec. 10.
The first knockout game, in which all rostered players will earn more than $50,000 in bonus money for qualifying, will be in Oklahoma City and tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. MST on Amazon Prime Video.
A win over the historically hot 19-1 Thunder would set up a semifinals matchup in Las Vegas with the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
If the Suns should survive into the semis, that would be the extent of their countable games from the NBA Cup, as the championship game and more than $500,000 in available player bonus money would be a non-counting game for the league’s regular season on Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Besides being televised on Prime Video, Suns-Thunder will be broadcasted on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
