Suns’ trade for Miles Bridges is now official
The Suns acquired Miles Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-rounder for Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick.

The Phoenix Suns’ trade for forward Miles Bridges was made official on Monday.
Phoenix acquired Bridges along with a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-rounder from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Grayson Allen, forward Royce O’Neale and a 2033 first-round pick.
“Miles has established himself as a highly productive player whose game continues to evolve,” Suns general manager Brian Gregory said in a press release. “His elite athleticism, strength and versatility allow him to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He embodies the grit, competitiveness and work ethic that fit our identity, and we’re excited to welcome him to Phoenix.”
“We also want to thank Grayson and Royce for the impact they made in Phoenix,” Gregory added. “Both played important roles in helping us build our foundation, and we appreciate everything they brought to our team. We wish them and their families all the best.”
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Bridges started 77 games for the Hornets last season, averaging 17.1 points on 46% shooting and 33.3% from deep. He averaged 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
He will wear No. 22 for Phoenix.
The news of the Bridges trade becoming official comes after he and the mother of his children filed complaints against each other amid a custody dispute.
Bridges was suspended 30 games after pleading no contest to a felony domestic violence charge in 2022.
He was granted a 20-game credit for missing the entirety of the 2022-23 season.
Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro adds the signing of sharpshooter Luke Kennard is expected to be finalized next and could be done Monday or Tuesday.

You mean the same Brian Gregory who got us into the playoffs last season?
that's a damn shame.
Why is everyone mad? I think we’re overestimating both Royce and Allen’s value. Allen would have been a mainstay if he could, well, stay on the court. Bridges is a freak athlete who played 77 games last season. He has the length and explosiveness to be disruptive on defense on ball, in passing lanes, and will be fine in the post against 90%+ of the PFs in the league.
He hits the long ball decent enough not to be left over, but he gives us way more actions on offense: baseline cuts, as a screener, crashing the boards, dunk zone etc. it is a huge upgrade over Allen and O’Neale.
