For the third consecutive season, the Phoenix Suns will not have a representative at the NBA All-Star game.
Nonetheless, plenty of Suns players have left a healthy legacy on the history of the game since the team’s founding in 1968.
Here’s a highly subjective look at the Suns’ five best individual performances in All-Star game history.
5. Dan Majerle (1993)
Charles Barkley made his first appearance for the West All-Stars in ’93 following his trade to the Suns, but his teammate had a larger impact at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Majerle scored 18 points, including three 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 26 minutes off the bench to help the West beat Michael Jordan and the East 135-132 in overtime.
First-year Suns head coach Paul Westphal, who had several memorable All-Star performances as a Suns player (more on that later), coached the West squad.
4. Jason Kidd (2000)
