Watch: Suns SF Mikal Bridges breaks down game film with ESPN

Phoenix Suns small forward Mikal Bridges opened up about his basketball journey while breaking down film with ESPN’s Mike Schmitz recently.

In the video posted Monday morning, the small forward talks about defending some of the league’s best players, while also running through some plays that wouldn’t normally appear on a stat sheet.

“It’s been a cool journey so far,” Bridges said. “Just playing different roles, starting off when I was redshirting to being sixth man to getting the ball a lot, running through the offense [at Villanova]. And now going back through the roles again so it’s been cool. Just trying to adjust and keep working.”

And don’t think the pair didn’t talk about his game offensively, especially with veteran floor general Chris Paul on the roster.

Bridges continues to impress with his improvement as an NBA small forward.

This season, he’s averaging 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 32.3 minutes per game, all career marks.

He has been more efficient from the field as well, shooting 53% overall and 41.6% from 3-point land.
